How DO I do it?!!

It all starts with concept.

I create original sounds on keyboard to develop a sonic environment that supports the message of each song, and allow song themes to support my various concept albums that also integrate text from mini-novelettes that I author and illustrate as companion elements to the story of each set of songs.

I perform all instrumentation and vocals, all songwriting and production, and all six albums have been recorded in the bedroom on standard cassette tape as 4-track master recordings. No computers are used, everything is recorded playing manually. My total budget for each album is roughly $12.

These projects follow the course of a homemade do-it-yourself aesthetic as an independent and solitary creation of art made directly out of the resources of everyday life. Perhaps egotistically, this means i think if you have something to say and have skill as an artist, you dont need a recording studio & financially groomed wizardry to make meaningful communication. You just need hands, heart, mind, and some glorious kind of mouth.
